Transmission Function Positions

The following employees actively and personally engage in transmission functions such as the planning, directing, organizing or carrying out of day-to-day transmission operations, including the granting and denying of transmission service requests.

VP, Engineering & Operations Chief Operating Officer Responsible for the oversight of the Line & Metering Functions as well as System Operations, Power System Technical and Transmission Development at the Strategic Business level.
Manager, Strategy & Development VP, Engineering & Operations Responsible for larger strategy level projects
Manager of Engineering & Asset Management VP, Engineering & Operations Responsible for the day-to-day transmission Business Unit of the company which includes: The Transmission Control Operating Center (system operations), Transmission Services including ISO NE and Nepool committee participation and Transmission Planning including functional oversight of Transmission Reliability Standards compliance Implementation. 
Manager, Technical, System & Support Operations VP, Engineering & Operations This position leads the team that is accountable for the efficient operation, construction, maintenance, and service restoration of the entire transmission and distribution system at Emera Maine in order to provide excellent service to customers. 
Manager, Line Operations VP, Engineering & Operations Responsible for overseeing and directing all operational aspects of the Company’s overhead line construction and maintenance programs, and division meter operations. This position provides the leadership and direction needed for the effective planning, organization and resource management of the Company’s transmission and distribution function.
Manager of Transmission Development VP, Engineering & Operations Oversees interconnection process and related transmission system upgrades including Transmission Development (Large T Capital Investment Projects).
Senior Transmission Planning Engineer Manager of Engineering & Asset Management Perform engineering duties involving design of the Company’s transmission system
Transmission Planning Engineer II Manager of Engineering & Asset Management Performs engineering duties involving planning of the Company’s transmission system
Chief Engineer Manager of Engineering & Asset Management Duties include system planning and fault studies as well as planning, design, specifications, and technical supervision on construction of complete substations, generating station controls, and general EM facilities.  Assistance, as required, on large customer interconnects, power quality, information and issues.  Oversight of the engineering’s department O&M budget.  Assignment of capital and O&M projects to department employees as required.
Line Supervisors Manager, Line Operations Responsible, in a line capacity, to the Manager, Line Operations for the planning and supervising of all line construction and maintenance activities within the Division.
Project Manager Manager of Transmission Development Provides project management and leadership for the development and construction of transmission projects.
Property Manager Manager of Transmission Development Oversees all ROW and owned land permitting, contracting, land acquisitions and sales.
Transmission Projects Coordinator Manager of Transmission Development Serves as the coordinator for all transmission project support activities, including procurement, permitting, contract administration, construction, invoice processing, document management and real estate acquisition assistance.  This position serves also as the primary contact for auditing activities related to transmission projects.
System Operations Supervisor Manager, Technical, System & Support Operations Maintains direct oversight of the T&D Control Center for Emera Maine. Facilitate the daily operation of the T&D Power System while maintaining the integrity of the Transmission and Distribution system in a safe, reliable, and economic manner.
Superintendent, Electrical Operations & Meter Tech Manager, Technical, System & Support Operations Responsible for overseeing and directing all operational aspects of the Company’s electrical and meter tech operations. This position provides the leadership and direction needed for the effective planning, organization and resource management of the Company’s electrical sub-station, generators, MEPCO functions, and ISO New England activity coordination.
System Operators System Operations Supervisor Develops and maintains responsibility for all functions in the System Operations Office.  This position maintains the capability to operate the EM system operations system.
Manager, Resource Planning & Scheduling VP, Customer Experience Responsible for providing management and oversight for the vegetation management program, pole inspection / treatment program, central dispatch, customer quotations for new services/extensions, compliance with underground facility damage prevention (DIGSAFE), the Company’s GIS information system and manage work plan for the scheduling and resourcing of line construction projects.
Manager of Rates VP, Finance Provides general guidance for the business unit including the design and administration of the Company's retail and wholesale rates including the Open Access Tariff.
Rates & Regulatory Analysts Manager of Rates Coordinate cost of service studies and rate design. Develop energy and demand forecasts. Post Open Access Tariff to OASIS.  Coordinate invoicing and payment of power supply transactions.  Prepare monthly operating costs estimates.
 

Shared Employees

Emera Maine has no categories of shared employees with its Marketing and Energy Affiliates other than senior officers and directors who are not Transmission Function Employees.

 

Shared Facilities

Emera Maine shares no facilities that include Market, Sales, and Brokering employees, and Transmission Function employees.

 

Employee Transfers

Emera Maine has no employee transfers between Market, Sales, and Brokering employees, and Transmission Function employees.

 

Potential Merger Partners

Emera Maine currently does not have any potential merger partners that may employ or retain marketing function employees.

 On July 1, 2016, a merger was completed between TECO Energy and Emera, Inc., the parent company of Emera Maine.

 

Emergency Deviations

Emera Maine has had no emergency instances where it had to deviate from the Standards of Conduct.

 

Prohibited Disclosures

Emera Maine, Bangor Hydro District has had no instances where it has disclosed prohibited information in a manner contrary to 18 C.F.R. § 358.6
