One-Time Payments ($2.95)
Our One-Time payment service provides a convenient payment channel for those that:

  • Wish to pay online but continue to receive their bills by mail
  • Need to make a payment with a debit or credit card

You can make a payment over the phone by calling our Customer Contact Center at (207) 973-2000 and following the prompts in our Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system.  When paying by phone customers are required to enter your own personal card information to maintain security.

Pay by Phone ($2.95)
Utilizing our One-Time payment service, you can place a payment over the phone through our automated phone system. When paying by phone customers are required to enter your own personal card information to maintain security.

Pay In Person (up to $1.00)
Paying your bill in person is made available through one of our convenient Agency locations. This service makes it possible to pay with a check or money order. Details and locations vary by service region.

Mail Your Payment (Postage)
Customers receiving their bill by mail always have the option to pay by check. A return envelope is provided with your bill, however correct postage is required.

Bank or Credit Union (FREE*)
You may be able to pay your Emera Maine bill through your financial institution's online banking website. 

*Emera Maine does not charge a fee to pay your bill through your bank's bill payment offering, however your finanical institution may charge a fee for this service.

Emera Maine provides electric delivery service to two areas – the Bangor Hydro District and the Maine Public District.

  • The Bangor Hydro District includes Hancock, Piscataquis and Washington Counties and most of Penobscot County.
  • The Maine Public District serves Aroostook County and a small piece of Penobscot County.

Because some information varies by District, please identify your District on the map above, or enter your town or zipcode. If you need information on both Districts,  switch back and forth at any time by selecting the district selector button.
