Customer Information System Project

Emera Maine is modernizing its Customer Information System (CIS) in the Bangor Hydro District and fully automating the Maine EBT EDI process. We expect to go-live with the new system June 8, 2015.

The new customer information system will offer many improvements to our transactions with energy suppliers:

  • Additional data/details included in transactions
  • Transactions will automatically be validated and receive a confirmation/rejected notice
  • Reduced risks associated with manual processing

All of the customers in our Bangor Hydro District will be provided with a new account number which will appear on their first bill after the transition. An 814-3 to update the account number for supplier customers will occur.

The Supplier Transition letter provides further details related to the timing of events for the transition to the new system.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we transition to our new system. If you have any questions or concerns about the project, please contact:
